peckhaminfurs said...: concern has been expressed as to whether i really did pepper the ants. I only put the cayenne down at their point of entrance (painful). Said pepper, coffee and cucumber are, supposedly, natural remedies to deter the short , black animals. I did, however, pour boiling water down their nest. Sir Slug, Nat - they were all over the kitchen - I had to!! Death was probably instant, and besides ants all work as one brain, so the ant body probably hasn't even noticed or has just got a bit of a headache . Boo hoo; 19 June 2009 at 01:16
