weekend of south london gallery cornelius cardew & paul Etienne lincoln
The South London Gallery in collaboration with the Wesleyan University, USA, interpret Cornelius Cardew's Treatise (1963-67). The vocal Constructivists, 17 strong, use body alone for instruments, but for once, when giant dice were tumbled cross the wooden floor. Superb performance, the constructivists including well trained voices, sounds produced included laughter, multiple voices chatting, latin mass & scat. And featuring Charles Hutchins.
