Suborder: Nematocera
Infraorder: Tipulomorpha
Superfamily: Tipuloidea
Family: Tipulidae
I snaffled that bit from the ol'wikipedia innit.
ho ho ho - apparently, the crane fly larvae are called "leatherjacket slugs"...
Did you know the caterpillar of the HAG MOTH is called a "monkey slug"? Funny lookin critters. You'd pap yrsel if you saw one of them like.
[the slug has many personas...]
My insect studies are adrift. I thought a crane-fly was a daddy long legs.
I found photos of the monkey slug. Looks a bit fauna, not regular animal. Its a wierdo.
On halloween and dress up - I bought a 50p nose in Tescos. I was shafted. It stunk. So I'm going to be a vampire. I've made a hat.
pecks in fur - yr not alone, I too thought the crane fly was the father with the gangly arms.
My wee biscuit also had an interference with the flea population, which I am pleased to report have surrendered & left his ginger fur.
verification - spativer
Mr G! I think I may see you later for the last foundry. Aw biscuit! Glad his fleas have fled. xx
